Theater Absurda Comica, co-founded by Mina Tinaburri and Ulrich Ernitz in 1995, is investigating the domaines of physical theatre, fine arts as well as the meaning of movement, gestures and text in space. The international ensemble is working in a collective process on theatre creation in which the spoken word deliberately looses its centrality in order to open up to new direct and universal forms of scenic scripts. Under the direction of Mina Tinaburri the Theater Absurda Comica has developed a form of expression in which the “body-movement theatre” is tackling life easily and ironically.
